Biography

Dr. Chao holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors (BA), a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chinese language and literature from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His academic and research interests include classical Chinese literature, Chinese grammar, Chinese communication skills, Chinese language education and Independent learning. He was the program director of the Postgraduate Diploma in Chinese Language and Literature for Teachers (PGDCT) at The Hong Kong Baptist University, and the developer of AC240C Chinese Communication: Theory and Practices of the Open University of Hong Kong. He has also developed and teaches courses for The City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Baptist University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
