Prof. Terry CF Yip

Prof. Yip obtained his BSc in Statistics with First Class Honours, MPhil in Risk Management Science, and PhD in Medical Sciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). During his PhD, he served as a visiting research fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Subsequently, he underwent postdoctoral training at CUHK. He now works on real-world big clinical data research to understand the epidemiology, natural history, assessment, treatment, and clinical outcome prediction of chronic hepatitis B and MASLD through cutting-edge statistical analyses and data analytics. His achievements include being honoured with the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme from 2016-2019, receiving the Young Investigator Award of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver in 2018, 2022, and 2023, as well as being selected for the Early Career Investigator Award in Clinical / Translational Science by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases in 2020, and The Best Poster Presentation Award: Viral Hepatitis - Clinical by the European Association for the Study of the Liver in 2024.
