Workshop Description |
In this talk, Ajahn Brahm, a world-renowned theoretical physicist, Buddhist monk and Pāli scholar, will use anecdotes seasoned with humour, and strategies proven by time, to speak on what mindfulness is and how to practise mindfulness in everyday life. There will also be a Q&A session afterwards. |
Speaker's Bio |
Ajahn Brahm was born in London in 1951 and graduated from Cambridge University with First Class Honours in Theoretical Physics. He is the Abbot of Bodhinyana Monastery in Australia and has been a Theravada Buddhist monk and meditation teacher for over 50 years. Ajahn Brahm has been invited to speak at Google, the Oxford Union, and the United Nations, among other leading global organisations. He is also the author of numerous international bestsellers, which have been translated into more than 20 language. His notable works include Opening the Door of your Heart; Mindfulness, Bliss and Beyond; The Art of Disappearing; Good? Bad? Who Knows?; Kindfulness; Bear Awareness; Karuna-Virus; and The Word of the Buddha. |
